The virtues are designed for our bodies/minds lower selves, in order that the body can allign itself
along with the wishes of the soul to respond to conscience{recognizing the spirit moving in us}.

God gives the soul a good shake to turn to his love,
conscience shakes the soul into true awakeness
allowing the gift to have a real hold therefore a true communication with it’s beloved.
