This Month’s Horoscopes

November

George Frederick Watts. Orpheus and Eurydice

The first ten days of the month are packed with astrological incident. With Mercury, the Sun and Moon, North Node and Saturn all in Scorpio, it’s also pretty intense and serious for everyone. What happens now may have repercussions far into the future. The range of effect for an eclipse is also wide: a couple of months before and half a year afterwards. This one casts a particularly deep shadow across the end of this year. There is no getting around the fact that Saturn, the Grim Reaper, is involved, and that means for certain, this is about endings, and with the Uranus-Pluto square aspecting this eclipse closely, there’s drama too. That all sounds ominous, but at the heart of this eclipse is transformation. In the end is beginning.

November 1 Uranus-Pluto square perfects

November 3 Solar Eclipse 11° Scorpio. Mars 11° Virgo. Mercury Rx conjuncts NN. Ceres enters Libra.

November 6 Sun conjunct Saturn. Venus into Capricorn. She will be here until March 5 due to retrograde motion.

November 7 Jupiter goes retrograde

November 10 Mercury stations direct

November 15 Venus conjunct Pluto

November 17 Full Moon

November 22 Sun into Sag

November 25 Ceres opposes Uranus

November 28 Ceres squares Pluto

Pictures this month are of Orpheus. Mercury’s Retrograde through Scorpio repeats this theme, the singer in the Underworld. I hope these will inspire you to use this energy well.

Aries

Let’s just focus on the intense eclipse on November 3. It’s going to have an impact on everyone in one way or another. Your ruler, dear Ram, is at an exact angle to this eclipse – just four minutes of arc out. That’s super tight. It is traditionally a dynamic and positive angle, but I have to tell you that with the amount of action around this eclipse, it’s likely to have both positive and negative impact.

First of all, the eclipse takes place in your solar 8thhouse. That’s the house of debt, joint income and depth psychology. It’s the Scorpio house, and actually this is an energy you can work with. These concerns are highlighted for you at the moment anyway as you are hosting Saturn, the teacher , here for a two year stint. But this eclipse means something in this part of your life is over. It’s reached completion. Best case scenario: you finish paying off a debt. But it looks to me like you may well have to pay out more than you can afford right now. If you’ve been minding your p’s & q’s all will be well, but if you have over-stepped the debt mark in any way, this could be a reckoning you could do without.

The other area greatly affected by this eclipse is your daily routine, your colleagues or employees. Someone may suddenly leave. It could be that your employer makes some people redundant.

How should you work with this energy to make the most of this intense eclipse?  Simple, you don’t have any control over this situation. Acknowledge that what is gone it gone and allow space for something new to come along.

The other factors in the mix at the beginning of the month are Mercury still retrograde in Scorpio and Uranus-Pluto in tight aspect. Mercury is helping you to think deeply right now, about the past and about money. These may be pretty uncomfortable. There may be something you have buried, abuse for example, that you don’t want to examine. Yet somehow it comes up now. This could be an opportunity to put that to rest for good. Think about it.

The U-Plu square is far less personal – unless you were born around March 31 give or take a few days, but it is changing the world around you deeply and permanently. Upheaval is happening. We are in a period of revolutionary change. This is a long process and won’t be over until 2015, the last time this square perfects at 15°. However, this aspect on the 1 November is the central one. It is like the hinge and since it is locked into this dark eclipse, deep transformation is taking place. It may not be obvious right now what that transformation is, but it is happening. It is as if the grapes have been picked and now they are being trampled, but we won’t know how good the vintage is until we open the bottles of finished wine in a few years.

Nevertheless, this exact square is the flavour of this whole autumn/winter, but especially of this November. Drama is inevitable, and you are likely to be one of the actors in that drama. Uranus, the revolutionary planet is in your sign, encouraging you to break free, to cast aside old habits, to rebel. Pluto is in your place of work, the boss, the establishment, the powers that be – and Pluto urges you to transform that space or die in the attempt. You, more than any other sign right now except Capricorn, are the change-maker. You may feel to small and insignificant to do this, but you can do it in your own small way. This month part of that change is throwing out what is unnecessary, what binds you too closely. With your ruler Mars in precise, practical Virgo all month, you will be able to discriminate exactly between what needs to go and what needs to stay. Dig deep, dear Ram, and you will find gold in your soul.

You are always the weather vane of the Zodiac because there is a purity about Aries that no other sign has. If you can find true north now, you are unstoppable.

The Full Moon on the 17th is a wild card across your financial houses but it is not stitched into the dark pattern of the eclipse. You get this Full Moon once a year around November, so you should be used to this energy.

The end of the month should lighten up considerably for you. The Sun moves into your fellow fire sign Sagittarius on the 22nd bringing in four full weeks of winter cheer which culminate in the Christmas season. What is more Ceres, the mother goddess, moves into your opposite sign. This promises a degree of warmth and nurturing from your partner that you sorely need. If you are single, someone new may come into your life this November/December, who will bring a special warmth to your winter.

Fereczy Karoly

Taurus

An important partnership is likely to be over at the beginning of this month. This may come as a shock to you. See it as part of the learning curve you are experiencing with partnership at the moment. Look for active support from your children or people you “play” with and also from powerful mentors. This is due to the powerful and uncompromising eclipse on November 3. You are likely to be personally affected more than almost anyone else in the Zodiac by this eclipse, especially if you were born around May 1.

There is a purging aspect to this eclipse. You may need to be the instigator of the split up. Think about who or what in your life needs to go and take action. This does not have to take place on the day of the eclipse by any means, since this event has a wide window of time in which to work – up to half a year from now. But this eclipse is the hinge. With Mercury Rx involved, you are already re-thinking your significant partnerships this month, calculating just how much each person means to you. This may sound cold, but it’s important to know just where you stand with people. Taurus, you are practical, and that is to your advantage. But you are also passionate, loyal and jealous. Don’t let others play on your emotions this month in order to blackmail you into going against your practical instincts. This is not really a time for compromise. Since you are Venus-ruled, you do seek harmony first, and others consciously or not sometimes see this as your Achilles’ Heel. You’d like everything to be nice, on an even keel, just as it’s always been, but you know in your heart that things have got to change.

The U-Plu square is less personal and immediate than the eclipse – unless you were born around April 30 give or take a few days, but it is changing the world around you deeply and permanently.

Uranus, the revolutionary planet is in your most hidden sector, forcing you to change old habits of thinking. You may however, be finding this quite uncomfortable. It could literally be putting your nerves on edge, in other words, making you ill. If this is the case, know that Pluto can help you with this. Pluto is at a good angle to Taurus, helping you to think really, really big. Pluto is giving your mind great depth in these years. More than any other sign, you can grasp the big picture, and because you are an earth sign, and a money sign, you can see how money is working right now, and changing. But Pluto is also – suprisingly – a planet of healing. He is like a surgeon who excises the cancer, helping you to eliminate what is unhealthy. His medicine is strong, but it works.

The Full Moon in your own sign on the 17th offers an opportunity to you. It’s unencumbered by any aspects except, of course, to the Sun himself. This allows you to direct the Full Moon energy of completion in any direction you choose. This time of year is like an unBirthday for you, a chance to look back at the past six months and see just how much you have evolved in this short space of time. You should feel proud of yourself, dear Bull. Congratulate yourself, and set your intentions for the coming six months.

Meanwhile, your ruling planet Venus is doing some interesting stuff this month. On the 6th, she moves into your fellow earth sign Capricorn, a place where she is wonderfully productive and comfortable. She does have to encounter Pluto there on November 15. This could be a challenging day, but her visit to Capricorn is going to be a prolonged one. Because of retrograde motion, she won’t leave the sign until March 5. Now this is in your sector of the higher mind and also of travel. If you were to choose to take a long trip abroad this winter, you would benefit greatly. The same is true for any course of study especially if it is to do with the arts. Venus here is about making your mind beautiful. It’s also potentially about meeting a lover in a place of study!

Mars, the planet of action, is currently in your 5th house of leisure and pleasure, sports and gambling and again at a good angle to your Sun. This is a time to practice hard at a sport or a musical instrument or a creative skill, such as ceramics. But it also hooks in neatly with the great expansion that is taking place in your thinking. If you are working on a creative project, you should be on fire now.

Gemini

This intense eclipse of November 3 is in the area of your chart that deals with everyday life. You are learning some tough lesson right now to do with how you organise your work and routine. In particular, you are learning about how to manage time.

Someone who you see on a daily basis may well leave your life now. This is most likely a colleague or someone who works for you. Although this person may not be important to you emotionally, his or her departure will have repercussions that ripple through the rest of your life. You may find that you are running around picking up the pieces from the fallout at work. It’ll feel as if you’re running backwards to catch the stuff raining down on you for a few weeks. But once you get the hang of juggling, you’ll likely find that you’re pretty good at this.

Your ruler, Mercury, is still in retrograde motion, which happens several times a year. However, this time it has been especially taxing for you, since Mercury is in Scorpio, a sign that pulls no punches, and conjuncting Saturn. (Oddly the combination of Saturn and Mercury has pretty good sense of humour, so although things are sticky they may be kind of funny in an ironic sort of way.) You are thinking deeply about things – death, taxes, sex – and one of your conclusions could well be that something has to change. This eclipse has an element of purging to it that’s undeniable. Something in your daily life has got to go. There could not be a better month for you to change a habit that’s doing you no good – eg quitting smoking or eliminating sugar from your diet. You have the willpower to do that now.

The U-Plu square is less personal and immediate than the eclipse – unless you were born around May 30 give or take a few days — but it is changing the world around you deeply and permanently.

Uranus, the revolutionary planet is in the part of your chart that deals with politics, yes, politics, how you interact with groups. You are a bright spark, full of ideas, maybe not the chairman of the board but the go-to person for communications. If the word needs to go out, then you can do it. You would be the Minister for Information in the new government. You may not see this as a talent but it is. You also have the ability to get people talking to each other. You are a great networker. This talent is being awakened under the U-Plu square, and transformed by the brooding presence of Pluto in your 8thhouse. The only thing that’s blocking your “political” success is your own inhibition, your own psychological blockage. This inner blockage may actually manifest as an outer cashflow problem: the way to deal with that? Networking, talking, informing.

The Full Moon on the 17 lights up your most secret life, the one you keep locked up in that diary. Enjoy it, write down all the things you hate most but you want to keep secret, and burn that piece of paper.

On November 22, the Sun moves into the house of others. This means that you are at your lowest ebb in terms of personal power for the year, but in a very good position to meet interesting people. Your partnership area is lit up from now until Christmas, promising some very enjoyable times.

Cancer

This stonking eclipse on November 3 is at a good angle to your natal Sun. What is more, your ruler, the Moon, is to some extent the planet that wins: the Moon blots out the Sun this time around. Something in your life is going, but its departure may be to your advantage. Expect surprising news from children – or to do with a creative project. If you work in theatre, the waiting may be over at last.

That’s taking a positive look at this eclipse then, but there is no getting around the fact that it’s a doozy. Both Mercury Rx and Saturn are up close and personal with the Sun, Moon and North Node in the sign of transformation and death, Scorpio.  Something has to go. This is a purge. And that something has to do with the fun sector of your chart: kids, leisure, creativity. It looks as if you have to get organised, you have to impost a schedule. Something may happen that puts this whole area of your life out of whack right now, but this will force you to readjust. That adjustment will be for the better. Likely areas are discipline and your kids, scheduling in leisure time, learning to complete creative projects, and taking what you make for fun seriously.

This month is still overshadowed by the U-Plu square, which perfects on the First, but carries on close to exact well into winter. This is less personal and immediate than the eclipse – unless you were born around June 30 give or take a few days, but it is changing the world around you deeply and permanently.

You are one of the signs most deeply effected by U-Plu since Pluto opposes you and Uranus squares you. These are both harsh aspects, but also dynamic. Think of yourself as being catapulted into the future. Pluto is in your house of partnership – this is your lover, but also friends, agents, lawyers – anyone with whom you have a tête-à-tête.  This may work out in various ways. It could be that a Plutonian character has entered your life – that is a bully, a catalyst — but I think Pluto could have been making you feel quite lonely. The other part of this aspect is Uranus, sitting in your angle of status. Uranus is the awakener, so it could well be that an ambition is being realised. For example, if you have always nurtured an ambition to be known for your cooking, you could finally be getting it together to have your own show or teach a class. Pluto may be helping you with this because that sense of solitude allows you to focus on your ambition. The world will start to recognise you in the role that you really ought to be acting. For Cancer, family is paramount and it could be that your whole family receives some recognition during this long transit.

The Full Moon is at a lovely angle to your Sun on November 17, especially if you were born around July 15. It looks as if you will be appreciated by a wider audience then even if your nearest and dearest have been a pain.

Now your partnerships may have been giving you a headache recently, but there is help at hand. Venus, the planet of love, is about to spend an extra long time in your seventh house of relationships from November 6 through March 5. That’s because she will go into retrograde motion during that time. Normally she only stays a few weeks in any sign. This is your chance to mend any bridges that have been broken, wipe away any tears and, if you are single, go forth and find Mr or Ms Right. Love is all around, dear Cancer, go and find it.

I really mean it, because not only is Venus in your house of love, Jupiter, the god of benevolence is still in your sign until next year, casting a cloak of luck around you. On the 7th, he begins retrograde motion, so that means those of  you born between July 1 and 10 and a few days either side will be getting another bite at the cherry. Use this time well – he goes forward again on March 5. Jupiter helps those who helps themselves, and those who hang around watching TV and eating pretzels, he helps grow large.

Leo

This eclipse falls in a critical part of your chart. It’s to do with home and family. It’s to do with your parents too. Something is going to change now forever. This may come as a shock to you and it may involve some unexpected expense on your part. This eclipse looks like it could be very upsetting for you, shifting the ground beneath your feet unexpectedly. You are a fixed sign, so you like things to stay the same. You don’t really like change. You can cope with it, but you have to be pushed into change rather than instigating it. You can cope because you are brave though, and you will change if you must. Once you are in the process, you’re good, of course, since you are king or queen of strategy. In particular, an elderly parent may be cause for concern. If you are younger though, it may be that you are finally forced to rebel against some family law. This is painful for you, since you are pretty comfortable with tradition and usually proud of where you come from, but all Leos need to break free at some time in their lives in order to become the unique individual that you are meant to be. This can happen at any time during your life, at any age – but right now looks like a pivotal moment. You say: “Enough already.”

If you are a householder, of course, this eclipse does happen right in the bottom of your chart, in your own home, so it could simply manifest as something literally going quite kaput, say, a bit of subsidence.

The U-Plu square  which is exact on the First flavours the entire month too. It is less personal and immediate than the eclipse – unless you were born around July 30 give or take a few days, but it is changing the world around you deeply and permanently.

Uranus is at a good angle to your Sun in fact, especially if you were born around August first. He is showing you big horizons, awakening a desire to travel possibly, to extend yourself, to stretch your mind. But he is blocked by what is happening in your day to day existence. To quote Philip Larkin:

“Why should I let the toad work

Squat on my life?

Can’t I use my wit as a pitchfork

And drive the brute off?

“Six days of the week it soils

With its sickening poison –

Just for paying a few bills!

That’s out of proportion.”

It’s a process, dear Leo.

There could be another way that Pluto in this position is manifesting for you. You may be finding you have an unusual number of health problems. Know that Pluto is a healing planet as well as his less pleasant manifestations. He works like a surgeon, cutting out what is unnecessary.

While the work is sitting on your life though, something much much better is coming your way. Venus, the planet of harmony, is about to move into this same sector for an unusually long stay. She’ll be here until March. She could come in the form of the lovely assistant – I could do with one of those – or just more order and harmony in your routine that consequently allows you to get your work done better.

Your ruler, the Sun, moves into happy, expansive Sagittarius on November 22, lifting you out of the Scorpio blues. Since Sagittarius is a fellow fire sign, this is always a good time of year for you. Let your sociable side strut around now. The Full Moon on the 17th is at the very top of your chart, highlighting your career. Think of this as a first quarter report since your birthday. How is it going? With so much focus on your home and family under the eclipse, it may have been hard to put the effort into your career that you think is necessary. Give yourself a break. Other things need to take priority sometimes. But it does look as if you allow yourself to be in the job too often, rather than on the job. Let the details take care of themselves. You’re a Leo for goodness sake, lift your head up and roar.

Virgo

This important November 3 eclipse will effect your communications. It is in the part of your chart that rules short journeys, conversation, teaching and learning, reading and writing. Your ruler Mercury is also exactly on the Moon’s North Node so you are likely to feel the eclipse deeply. What is more Mercury is retrograde, so in a few weeks time, your ruler will go back over the eclipse point.

In other words, if you don’t feel the eclipse now, you will before the month is out. The most obvious result may be that a friend or neighbour – someone you talk to regularly – is going to go away leaving an unexpectedly large hole in your life. Another possible scenario is that a writing project you have been working on is either finished or cancelled. If the latter is the case, fear not. This thing had to go. Something better will come along.

There is definitely an element of purge to this eclipse.

Meanwhile, Mars is galloping through your sign, giving you an enormous amount of energy. This is a great time to get fit. Of course, you are more accident prone than usual, too. Mars in your sign is all about energy though. He gives you an enormous boost and not just physically. You should find you have the courage to take on your enemies now, to tackle people who have been causing you problems. You will be tempted to use your quick wit and sharp tongue to sort them out, but do be a bit careful. With your ruler in Scorpio, you are able to be even more cutting than usual and you could say something you regret. Measure your words.

The U-Plu square  which is exact on November 1 flavours the entire month too. It is less personal and immediate than the eclipse – unless you were born around August 30 give or take a few days, but it is changing the world around you deeply and permanently.

Pluto is at a favourable angle to your Sun, helping you to make practical sense of the turmoil around you, and possibly even turn it into art. Uranus bombing around in the part of your life which comes under the umbrella of joint property. He may be causing turmoil in your joint finances, or your joint sex life. This is certainly destabilising, but the answer is to try to float free of the material concerns and understand what underlies this unease. What is it you really value?

Meanwhile, Venus is about to join Pluto for a very long stay in your house of creativity. She is about to allow things to really flow for you. If you have a story to tell, it will work now. It’s also possible with this aspect for a new and exciting lover to come into your life. A third possibility is the birth of a girl child now. Whatever it is she brings, it is beautiful.

Finally, lest we forget, your ruler Mercury goes forward again on November 10 but remains in Scorpio until the end of the month. Although you may be feeling rather static and frustrated now, with Mars urging you forward and Mercury holding you back, when they both turn forward from mid-month there will be no stopping you.

Libra

It looks like there could be a financial crisis for you during this eclipse. It’s possible that one source of income goes and you find yourself suddenly struggling. Know that this is a transit and it will pass but you do have to grapple with it. Belt-tightening could be the order of the day. You are getting used to this since you have had Saturn, the bookkeeper planet, in your house of money for more than a year now. You are at fiscal responsibility school, learning how to make those teeny-weeny columns add up.

Yours is the sign of the scales, and those scales are the ones the money-lenders used to carry in Biblical times, so you have an affinity with money, in particular with balancing the books. What is more, Venus, your ruler, is the planet of money and harmony. You are the natural book-balancer of the Zodiac, which may be why Saturn is said to be exalted in your sign.

However, there is something about this eclipse which comes out of the blue, and for which you had not calculated. If all this money talk makes no sense to you, translate what I’m saying into broader values and possessions. Something you value may be lost or stolen to put it bluntly. Mercury, the god of thieves is involved. You may recover it when Mercury goes forward again on the 10th and recrosses the eclipse point later in the month.

The U-Plu square  which is exact on November 1 flavours the entire month too, and there is a slightly criminal vibe to this pattern too. It is less immediate than the eclipse – unless you were born around September 30 give or take a few days, but it is changing the world around you deeply and permanently.

Both Uranus and Pluto are in particularly emotional and personal angle to your Sun. Pluto is in the house of home and family. He’s been causing trouble and change there – whether you acknowledge this or not – for some time now. You have been forced to make adjustments. Uranus is in your house of relationships and you hardly need me to tell you that there have been changes here too. These two are working together to push you into the future. You may feel uprooted, unsettled and your partner may be a cause for concern, but know that you have the steadiness to steer the good ship Libra into calmer waters eventually.

What is more, your ruling planet Venus is about to get into a position where she can really give you a helping hand. On the 6th, she moves into earthy Capricorn, a place where she is wonderfully productive and comfortable. She does have to encounter Pluto there on November 15. This could be a challenging day, but her visit to Capricorn is going to be a prolonged one, so she needs to get used to working alongside Pluto. Actually, there is an affinity between these two planets. Aside from anything else, they are the two money planets. Because of retrograde motion, she won’t leave the sign until March 5.

Now this is in your sector of home. It could be that someone nice and helpful moves into your house for a while, a really charming guest. It could be that you make some home improvements that really work. Whatever it is, plan to increase the harmony in your home environment this winter. If you make this an active choice, you will reap the benefits.

Spencer Stanhope

Scorpio

Happy Birthday, dear Scorp. It’s kind of exciting being you right now with so much going on in your sign – a Mercury Retrograde, Saturn transit, and an eclipse.

November 3 sees the major solar eclipse in Scorpio. I call it major because it closely aspects so many other planets including Mercury, Mars, Saturn, the Uranus-Pluto square, Juno and Chiron. Or to put it another way, Venus, Neptune and Jupiter are the only planets to escape the imbroglio.

If you were born on  November 3, this is pretty personal, but all Scorpios will feel the energy. Not only does it effect you personally, but it has repercussions in many other parts of your life. Something about you and your attitude is changing. It may be that you decide to leave a situation that has been bothering you for a long time. Finally you are able to lay down the law. If you are leaving, there may be legal complications, but these can be straightened out in the long run. Just make sure you take great care with all paperwork. You are not the weakest person involved in this pattern, but nor are you in control. This hurts, of course, because you like to be in the driving seat – even when it looks as if you are just the back seat driver, you are generally in charge. Your strength is, of course, your emotional insight. But it can also be your weakness, because you forget that you are not the only person who can see through doors. Your opponents may be just as smart as you are. Worse luck, your opponent might even be another Scorpio.

With Saturn marching through your sign like an old warhorse. It has not been the most comfortable of years, but it has been maturing, and actually you can handle Saturn because you are not a shirker. When the going gets tough, Scorpio gets going and eventually your ability to transform a situation pays off. Mercury has joined in though, and he’s going retrograde. This suggests that you are doing an unusual amount of talking, or possibly writing. You are needing to think and rethink yourself. By this I mean, that who you are is under question right now. Not so much from other people but from you. You are questioning your own identity. Are you who you really believe yourself to be? Or is it time for a total change? Ask around. Talk to people you trust. This eclipse offers an opportunity to break some rules, rules that you have probably set yourself.

You are supported by Pluto, your own modern ruler, in Capricorn, urging you to “only connect” to quote E.M. Forster. The U-Plu square is exact on November 1 flavouring the entire month. It is less personal and immediate than the eclipse – unless you were born around  Halloween give or take a few days, but it is changing the world around you deeply and permanently.

Mars, your traditional ruler, is in the house of networking. This is where you could be expending a lot of effort this month, but it looks like this is useful in the long run. You may get no pay-off now, but watch this space. People need to know who and where you are in order to find you. The theme of communications is so strong for you this month. Pluto is in your house of communications and siblings. Again, the theme is conversations with people you trust. You need to talk to them.

Meanwhile, Uranus is disrupting your work and your schedules as usual. But something about this disruption of the fabric of your day is helping you to see things with a fresh eye.  Maybe you were never quite the person you thought you were.

It’s hard for you to change. You are a fixed sign. But you are also the sign of transformation. When you do change, you are reborn.

Venus is also coming to make those conversations easier when she comes to join Pluto on the 6th in Capricorn. The two planets conjunct on the 15th, which could be a very good day for you. You may hear some positive news about money.

The Full Moon on the 17th is in the sector that rules relationships., which makes this a very good day for a date. You may not have been feeling too romantic lately, but pencil in this day for loving.

Sagittarius

This eclipse on November 3 marks of a profound shift in your sense of self, dear Sagittarius, but it happens so deep inside you that you may not be sure what has taken place yet. A situation that you needed to keep steady to sustain you is no longer necessary or valuable. This could well be a habit of mind. Even though you do not make the change yourself, you may well feel relieved that the action has been taken out of your hands.

The U-Plu square,  which is exact on November 1, flavours the entire month. It is less personal and immediate than the eclipse – unless you were born around  November 30 give or take a few days, but it is changing the world around you deeply and permanently. This applies to everyone.

For you Pluto is in the house of money and possessions and Uranus is in house of children or leisure. This combination suggests that the area of transformation and change for you is less to do with work and career and more about how you are rooted in the world. What is it that makes you feel at home? This is always a question for Sagittarius anyway. Often the answer is: in transit.

The question asked though, is what keeps your feet on the ground? Is it a state of mind or is it what you own?

Your ruling planet Jupiter is currently cruising through Cancer, the sign most associated with family – both the family you come from and the family you create.  Quite simply, it could be that you are expanding your family this year – kids, even grandchildren. They are all a pleasure for you now too.

Jupiter is about to start its retrograde motion on November 7, the day after his rival Saturn conjuncts the Sun. Jupiter will stay retrograde until March. This is a period of introspection for you, but in particular it’s a time for you to appreciate your family and the comforts of home, but also to ponder your inheritance. This may be a literal windfall of money actually, but it’s just as likely to be what you have inherited in terms of character and emotion. Jupiter is in the house of joint resources, which suggests that these might be expanding right now.

It also looks as if your earning power is about to get a major boost. This may not run entirely smoothly at first but eventually, you should have more money coming in than you have had in a long time. This is because Venus is going to be spending this winter warming up your wallet. She does have to encounter Pluto in order to do this but actually the two money planets in combination in your money house must bode well for your finances.

Now I know it’s tempting dear Sag to run out and put it all on the gee-gees, but this is money you earn, not money you speculate. It may be that you are simply adding value to your own personal brand Sag.

On the 22nd, the Sun goes into your sign. Hooray! You won’t be the only one to be relieved. Everyone will want to come to your party this year.

Finally, that Full Moon on the 17th is a wild card to be played anyway you want it as long as it’s to do with your domestic routine. As an animal lover and pet-protector, you might want to think about getting your furry friends to breed. Just a crazy thought there…

Capricorn

This eclipse on November 3 happens almost on top of your chart ruler, Saturn, shaking you up and forcing you to make some changes. This is focused on the political wing of your party – how you interact with the wider world, how you network and how you realise your ambitions in the world. You may have been struggling with this, trying to bring some kind of order to your networking over the past year. This is because Saturn is going through this part of your chart, and Saturn – even though he is your best friend – insists on bringing order and responsibility. If you were setting up a charity or some kind of group, then this would be an ideal transit.

The eclipse is a New Moon so it suggests that something here ends – for example the chairman of your group steps down – in order to make way for something to begin. It is not entirely comfortable though. Perhaps someone is pushed.

If this makes no sense to you. Think about this in terms of your hopes and plans for your own future. One plan is finished – or even cancelled – in order for another plan to takes its place. As a Capricorn, you should always have a plan.

The U-Plu square,  which is exact on November 1, flavours the entire month. You are one of the people most affected by this square especially if you were born around January 1, but it is also changing the world around you deeply and permanently. Pluto is forcing you to transform yourself, to shed skins and Uranus is driving that process hard now, from the direction of your home. Something there is disruptive. Is it an elderly relative, or a challenging child?

When Saturn meets the Sun on November 6, something useful may come to light for you. It may not be the most comfortable news, but it will help you. Meanwhile, Mercury, the planet of commutations is still retrograde until November 10, potentially causing a certain amount of misunderstanding if things are handled too hastily, so keep cool under pressure.

And help is at hand, Venus the planet of harmony is about to do you a massive favour. She will enter Capricorn on November 6 and stay with you until March 5. That is a very long time. She will give you the charm and the luck to achieve almost anything. What is more, Jupiter, the “greater benefic” to her “lesser benefic” is in your house of relationships, so if you are looking for a partner, now is the time, this is the season. Since Jupiter is going backwards form November 7, it could well be someone you have already met.

This is truly a very lucky combination, but it does seem to me you deserve some break dear Capricorn. All this personal transformation can get wearing.

The Full Moon on November 17 is in your fellow earth sign, Taurus, in the house of fun. Use it as you will. View it as a wild card of completion, a chance to finish a project, take a child out for a treat or simply indulge in something that gives you great pleasure.

Aquarius

The question of status is never one that you really take seriously dear Aquarius. After all, you are one of the world’s great egalitarians. But it does look like your work situation is about to shift dramatically. One likely scenario is that your boss goes – to be replaced by a woman perhaps. This will set the cat amongst the pigeons and it could take several weeks if not months for things to settle down.

You have had to take on quite a lot more responsibility this year. From personal experience, this may not actually be in the workplace but at home – maybe you have just had a child or a parent has moved in with you. This is about being seen as a mature adult in the world. It could be that you are making a name for yourself too. When Saturn transits the Tenth House, as he is for you, he rewards you. This is his natural house you see and he likes anyone who rises to the challenges he creates. He is also your chart ruler by tradition, so you are comfortable with the demands of Saturn.

This eclipse could bring some kind of crisis in that department, forcing you to step into the breach. You need to rise to this challenge, dear Aquarius, because not only will you benefit, the people around you will too.

Pluto is in the part of your chart that rules your ancestry, what you have inherited spiritually and emotionally from your people. It also rules our connection to the collective unconscious. For you this is being stirred up. This is actually a good placement for Pluto. The dark lord of the underworld deals with the large sweep of history. One question that I think is worth considering for you is do you come from the oppressed or the oppressors? Slave or master or neither? And how has this made you who you are?

Meanwhile, Uranus is in the part of your chart that rules communications and siblings. These are proving surprising. You may get some news that upsets you, something about your origins that you didn’t know. It could be something along the lines of finding out that you’re illegitimate or that your uncle committed suicide. It’s a secret, but not something wicked. Uranus, is, after all, your friend.

The Full Moon on November 17 is in the part of your chart that rules the home and family. Make it a family affaire, dear Aquarius, this is a wild card Full Moon which you should use to celebrate the people that keep you connected to the earth.

At the end of the month, the goddess of abundance, Ceres, moves into a beautiful aspect to your Sun. This is a nourishing, nurturing energy, and it comes from feeding your mind, dear Aquarius. Go out and immerse yourself in philosophy for the Christmas season.

Pisces

Weirdly, this eclipse on November 3 is at a good angle to your Sun, so it may actually benefit you in some way. However, since you are also receiving a hard aspect from bullying and argumentative Mars in your opposite sign of Virgo, the changes that the eclipse brings will not be smooth sailing. The place of change is likely to be in the area of higher education and your higher mind. If you are at university, an important teacher may suddenly go. The same goes if you are involved in a religious organisation of some kind. This causes a bit of uproar and the dust will not settle for months to come. It could even be that some kind of scandal is revealed. Someone, who seemed to be whiter than white, turns out to have been a scheming blackguard. I can’t help thinking of the Catholic Church’s on-going sexual abuse crisis in this context. You may find yourself in the position of sacrificial goat, or peacemaker – or both.

With Mercury Retrograde involved in this eclipse, the reality of the situation may take some time to become clear. It does seem to me that there is the possibility for you personally, dear Pisces, to experience either a wounding or a healing to do with this eclipse. This is because it very closely aspects Chiron, the wounded healer, currently in your sign. There could be some childhood injury that is reactivated, whether that is emotional or physical. Now you have the opportunity to cauterise the wound. By all means, open it up again, have a look and see how much it’s improved over the years, and then heal it a little more. Part of that healing will be the simple acknowledgement that this happened to you.

The U-Plu square,  which is exact on November 1, flavours the entire month. It is less personal and immediate than the eclipse – unless you were born around  February 28 give or take a few days, but it is changing the world around you deeply and permanently. Upheaval is happening. We are in a period of revolutionary change. This is a long process and won’t be over until 2015, the last time this square perfects at 15°. Pluto is in your house of contacts and future plans. Right now, these are up for revision, because your money (Uranus in the finance sector) is either coming or going. Frankly it’s erratic. This is money that you earn by the way, not money that you blag or inherit or otherwise come by.

Meanwhile, Jupiter, your traditional ruler, is still in friendly, watery Cancer, bringing you joy from children and creative expansion. If you are an artist, a musician, a writer, go out and listen to the fairies singing this autumn. Jupiter is about to go retrograde, so he is weakened but still powerful. This also means that those of you born between March 1 and 10 will get another wave of the Jovian wand over your sensibilities. You have the power now to make something really wonderful. Jupiter retrograde means going back over old material. Mercury is, of course, also retrograde and at a good angle to Pisces. If you can get the skill of Mercury, the joy of Jupiter and the imagination of Neptune working together, you could make something magical come to life this winter.

Jupiter in Cancer is also very fertile for you, so if you are trying for a baby (again), the timing could not be better.
